hi there...remember me? i used to post here all the time....i been away for a bit...i was off being batshit crazy....

new job has started, week 3 begins on sunday night...doing training for 7 weeks from midnight till 8 am...fun stuff.
starting to recover from 6 month hell with member of the opposite sex, but is slow going...doesn't help that he lives across the hall, but oh well...i will survive...

i still hold true to the theory that there are two kinds of people in the world, people that LOVE the wedding singer....and people that FUCKING HATE the wedding singer...if you're confused, i'm referring to the motion picture romantic comedy starring drew barrymore and adam sandler...as much of a loser in the whole dating deal as i may be, i am, to the death, of the 'LOVE' the wedding singer camp. i am not defeated. RAR.

on the far more pleasant plane of joyous news is the leak of 2 songs from the not yet released 'with teeth' disk from nine inch nails...and though i say 'joyous news', it is actually the work of complete assholes...it forced me to sit and ponder what they might sound like....and it drove me up the wall....so i listened to them...and i drooled. it was all worth the wait....may 3rd will be a great day. as will the day that trent comes back to grace this fine city...even with his strangely parted hair...

hahahahaha i just got an msn message my cougarmeat in chicago...he's so sweet....i'm gonna share....

speaking of trying on new shoes....
spent last night at savage, where i haven't gone since i went with jason 10 years back...it was awesome. it's been a long time since i heard great music in a bar....like really long....the place is pretty heavy into the pvc crowd, but i still felt fairly comfortable. got myself a nice hangover today to remind me....

friday...lalala....just got a call, the job has been delayed yet another week. i'm going to be so poor and destitute....lalala....so now i have another week to sit at home....i'm going to such an overachiever by the time i actually start work.

going to see 'son of the mask' with d tonight. it's been a long while since manfolk took me out to a movie, so this will be a pleasure. i hadn't even heard of the movie until he mentioned having preview passes. the reviews look very positive...

as for d, he's quite spiffy....geeky, pierced, tattoo'd and employed (too bad he works for evil incarnate)...dreamy combination. not to mention he loves nine inch nails...pretty good timing, because i am human, and this sitting at home business is starting to make me a bit squirrelly in the head.

Proof! I have proof of the conspiracy!
before i get going with my conspiracy facts, i really must say I have eaten far too much food and am now uncomfortable sitting upright. I would very much like to type this while laying in bed, however I am far too lazy to drag the computer up there, so i struggle....lol

Proof that Rogers Cable is set to fuck up my head (there is a co-conspirator as well, but we won't talk about him):

- they cut off my cable and internet today! omg! granted, i do own them $500+ and haven't made a payment since mid november, but still....i gave my life for that company, throw me a frickin bone! and it's not like i'm not going to pay them, i'm just really frickin short on cash....somehow i don't think accounts receivable will accept my payment arrangement for 6 weeks from now...

- they renamed the skydome today...it's now called Rogers Centre....need i say more? okay fine, i will....

- every single person in my life is somehow connected to rogers....every one. they either work there, used to work there, are a contractor for or used to be one of the above. even my employer is linked to them...roaming in canada is done on the rogers network.

- my wireless service is with rogers. last year i was having problems with my service when i worked in brampton and they told me my phone wasn't good enough anymore, less than a year after i purchased it. they were so kind to offer me a hardware upgrade ahead of the two year requirement....unfortunately, they never applied the rebate to my account and as a result, i paid full price for the phone. now they insist i must have 24 months between rebates. considering i didn't receive the first one, i don't quite see how the date should start from when i paid full price from the phone.

- one of my favorite tv shows is 'call for help' hosted by leo laporte...it used to be on TechTv, but when G4 bought them, they ditched the show. Rogers Media brought the show here to be broadcast on the canadian G4techtv channel.

- my favorite radio station is Jack FM. Owned by Rogers Broadcasting.

- the one black mark on my credit rating was placed there by cantel/AT&T over 10 years ago. cantel was owned by Rogers and has since been renamed Rogers Wireless. this wonderful black mark was a result of charges incurred AFTER i reported the phone stolen....la la la

sometimes i feel like maybe my life is the truman show....and rogers is the corporate sponsor....cuz its everywhere!
